25 August: After finishing discussion of the slavery images, students will create their own images and write a paragraph describing the images, how they relate to slavery, and why they chose the images as representations of slavery.
24 August: After finishing the questions from the PBS article, students will get into groups and discuss 10 images of slavery and answer questions about the images.
23 August: After the bellringer, students will finish reading the PBS article about the living conditions of slaves.
22 August 2016: After the bellringer, we will begin discussing African slavery and the Atlantic slave trade. Students will then write a hypothesis about slavery based on prior knowledge. Students will then try to find a story about an American slave or former slave. The parent syllabus form is due TONIGHT at midnight.
